Morrissey tervitab albumil „Infinite Source Of Heat“ mitmeid võimsaid külalisartiste, sealhulgas Norah Jonesi (loos„Hard To See“), Mark Guilianat („Infinite Source Of Heat“) ja Aoife O’Donovani („In The Crowd“).

Album koosneb kaheksast uuest loost, mis on loodud kitarridel, klaveritel ja märkmikes Bed Stuy külalistetubades, tühjades kontorites, verandadel ja eurorongides, ning mida seejärel korduvalt esitatud laval koos bändiga. Autori jaoks kirjeldab pealkiri just seda protsessi.

Koosseis:

Chris Morrissey is a songwriter, a bassist, a singer, a music director, a Leo, an uncle, a lover of most dogs and some cats, a New Yorker, a Minnesotan, a yoga practicer, a runner, a wino, a restaurant frequenter, and joke teller/appreciator. As a composer and band leader, Morrissey has released eight records: “Infinite Source Of Heat” (2026), “Live In Minnesota” (2024), “Grey Like The Color” (2024), "Impact Winter Formal” (2021), "Laughing and Laughing” (2018), "North Hero" (2013), "Cannon Falls Forever" (2011/2025) and "The Morning World" (2009).

As a bassist, he's logged hundreds of thousands of miles touring five continents with Norah Jones, Mark Guiliana Jazz Quartet, Beat Music, Nate Smith “Live-Action”, The Jim Campilongo Trio, Dave King Trucking Company Rich Hinman Vs Adam Levy, Sara Bareilles, Chris Thile’s “Live From Here” house band, Margaret Glaspy, Trixie Whitley, Boy George, Ben Kweller, Andrew Bird, Mason Jennings, Gretchen Parlato, Gabriel Kahane, and Amy Helm.

As a music director, he assembled bands and arrangements for Sara Bareilles, Sharon Van Etten, Trixie Whitley, Maren Morris, Blu DeTiger and Elle King.

Infinite Source Of Heat is Chris Morrissey’s fourth full length release for GroundUP Music and his eighth to date as a band leader. He is joined by longtime collaborators Marco Bolfelli on guitar, Bill Campbell on drums, Charlotte Greve on woodwinds and Grammy winning producer/engineer John Davis. Morrissey welcomes some formidable featured guests on Infinite Source Of Heat, including Norah Jones (on Hard To See), Mark Guiliana (on the title track Infinite Source Of Heat) and Aoife O’Donovan (on In The Crowd).

Infinite Source Of Heat is eight new songs — written on guitars, pianos and notebooks in spare rooms in Bed Stuy, empty dumbo offices, upstate front porches, and euro-trains, then played and played on stage with a band. For the author, that process repeated is what the title describes.

Chris Morrissey - vocals, bass
Marco Bolfelli - guitar
Bill Campbell - drums
