Duo Beerten/Finsson is a collaboration between two young musicians from Belgium and the Faroe Islands. With on the violin and hardanger fiddle, Oscar Beerten (Belgium) and Ragnar Finsson (Faroe Islands) on guitar and stomp box, they bring crunchy Nordic folk music with a punk attitude. The music consists own-written compositions with a mix of improvisations and well written arrangements. Although the music has its roots mainly from Scandinavian folk music, it breaks with tradition which gives the music its own unique sound.
